Quiet books are a great way to keep your child busy. For us it is at church. The best part – You can’t throw felt very far and for out one year old – this means no chucking things 3 pews down.
Recently I have been looking for educational resources that would allow him to play and learn during mass or at the restaurant afterwards.
If you follow along on my pinterest I will be bringing more ideas.
Steps:
- You need to download this pattern here.
- Buy some felt in black and grey.
- Print onto a thick card stock.
- Cut out and trace onto felt by color. For the black just use a white crayon.
- For eyes, Glue or sew the pupils on the eyes. This helps eliminate the small pieces.
- You will need 1 black body, 1 eye, 2 pupils, 8 legs and a head.
- Wrap a thick piece of card stock with flannel. Hole punch 3 places for a binder or folder with clasps. This is for storage. You can place so many different pages in a binder.
- For the pieces, label a zip bag and hole punch the same way. Place in front of the board (or you can use page protector)
